Record Sealing

A common question that arises if someone is convicted of a DUI is when can they get their criminal history record erased.  It is important to note that if you do not petition to have your record sealed a criminal conviction is on your record forever, this applies to any crime.  Nevada Revised Statues 179.245 allows a first-time offender to have their record sealed after seven years.  It is also important to note that sealing your DUI conviction is extremely important, if you are arrested for a DUI in the future penalties are enhanced for each subsequent DUI offense.  The DUI laws in Las Vegas, Nevada are harsh, and you need a skilled criminal defense attorney to help navigate this process.

Skilled Criminal Defense In Las Vegas, Nevada:

Facing the potential outcomes of an arrest can be treated as one of the difficult experiences in someone’s life.  In addition to harsh penalties there are collateral effects to professional licenses for doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.  A DUI conviction is reportable to the appropriate state licensing Board and can result in disciplinary sanctions from your respective Board.  Not disclosing the DUI in a timely fashion can have even harsher consequences on a professional license.  In some instances a DUI charge can be reduced to a moving violation offense and this type of offense would not have to be reported to a licensing Board.

The Spartacus Law Firm’s  Las Vegas DUI Attorney | DUI Defense | Spartacus Law Firm criminal defense team can help not only defend your DUI case, but can also assist with collateral issues such as professional licensing discipline.  If you have been arrested for a DUI please contact attorney Chandon S. Alexander today for a consultation.
