IT support refers to those services that companies provide to customers of technological products or services. In general, IT support deals with issues with a particular product or service, such as troubleshooting a malfunctioning system, providing support, configuration or support of the product itself, or provisioning of other service services. The word IT support comes from the word ita, which means 'information' in Greek, and support is often defined as the delivery of information to the customer for use, modification, and maintenance.

Many service providers offer IT support. It is best to choose the most reliable provider, as there are numerous services available that provide IT support. In many cases, one company may provide IT support in the IT department, while others are in the field of application support. An individual may also provide IT support as an employee of the organization.

Some people who offer IT support have a degree in computer science or a related field, which prepares them for this position. They may work with computers and software, or have knowledge in networking. In some cases, they may have knowledge in networking systems. Those with experience and training in the field of IT support may be employed by corporations or organizations that require such a position. On the other hand, some may be self-employed and may deal exclusively with personal or business customers. Many companies hire these IT support specialists to ensure proper maintenance of the systems and their functioning.

A support provider also offers training for clients who would like to learn more about IT support and its benefits. Training and assistance can be provided on various levels, depending on the level of technical expertise of the person. It is not necessary that the person should be a professional when he/she offers training. IT support training courses generally cover areas like computer networks, network management, operating systems, software support, computer hardware, network configuration, backup, and more.

Before choosing an IT support service provider, it is important to compare the prices and packages offered by different service providers. For example, a good IT support service provider may offer affordable IT support packages at rates as low as $25 per month, while others may offer services at higher rates for more complex issues, but are also very helpful.

IT support can also include help desk services, software testing, remote support, and other similar services. It is also important to know if IT support companies give assistance in case of network outage, or server downtime.
